Love starts from home...

If you want your children to turn out well, spend twice as much time with them, and half as much money.- Abigail Van Buren

At bright sparks, we are fully aware of the need for parents to spend quality time with their children. As an initiative to get parents and children together and enjoy themselves while doing So, we decided to organise a tea session.

This year, we celebrated Mothers Day on 20 May, by inviting parents to join them for a tea session for food made with LOVE by the teachers and the children.

The session will provide parents with an opportunity to share meals with their children and spend time having conversations with each other.

In the lead up to the session, children were given the opportunity to customise the menu to suit the taste of thier parents. The children and teachers spent time preparing the meals and in the midst of it there was much laughter and experimentation.

Parents enjoyed the food prepared with lots of love and commented that this gave them the important opportunity to bond with their children.

Games were organised as part of the session. Parents and those children participated enthusiastically and many walked away with attractive prizes. Children shared that they were excited to play games with their parents and it was “fun to see Mommy and Daddy playing like them”
