The N2 children of PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Pasir Ris West Blk 650 (CC) embarked on a project titled “Spreading Kindness to the Elderly”.
The children had pre-discussion about the topic of kindness and they brainstormed on what they could do to spread kindess. The children suggested to be kind to the Elderly and hence, we have decided to make a visit to the Elderly in PCF Sparklecare @ Changi Simei.
Before making a trip there, the children appealed to their parents and brought in some food donations for the elderly in the centre. The children also worked on a collaborative art piece as a token of friendship to PCF Sparklecare @ Changi Simei. They also prepared dance items and several games to interact and spend some time with the Elderly.
On the actual day of the outing, 24 August 2017, the excited and energetic children and enthusiastic parent volunteers made their way to PCF Sparklecare @ Changi Simei. They sang and danced to the music while the Elderly clapped along to the beat. The elderly were delighted to receive the art piece and food donation.
The children continued to spend time with the Elderly through games such as parachute play, Simon Says and etc. They had lots of fun spending time and spreading kindness to the elderly.
It was indeed an enriching and meaningful trip where the young and old come together to share some love and spread some kindness!
