Our kindergarten believes that it is important for our children to learn about sharing and caring for the people around them. So for this year’s “Start Small, Dream Big” project, we chose to interact with the elderly as our focus is inter-generation. On the 19th April 2018, we visited the PCF Sparkle Care @ Yew Tee. We distributed the food donated by our parents to them. Our K2 children did 4 performances and they received loud applause from the grandparents who also joined them in actions. The children, together with the parent volunteers, made towel sculptures and also participated in a ‘Bingo’ game with the grandparents. When it was time to depart, the children presented the grandparents with their handmade gifts - a hand printed flower in a painted bottle. They were delighted with the gifts. Through this project, our children learned about the spirit of caring, giving and sharing in a meaningful way.
