On this day, the K1 and K2 children from PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Tampines-Changkat Bll 112 visited the neighbourhood eldercare to take part in their morning exercise programme. Donning the signature SSDB orange bucket hats, the children set forth to walk over the St Luke’s Eldercare Tampines Centre.
At the Eldercare, the children were separated into different groups to workout with the groups of elderly.
Some of the K2 children got to work out with the elderly who are wheelchair bound. They did upper body workouts and focusing on strenghtening their arms.
The rest of the K2 children were mixed into another group of elderly and got to exercise together with them. They did lots of leg and arm exercises that even the children got tired as well. Nevertheless, the elderly enjoyed seeing the children’s youthfulness and persistance to power through the workout.
The K1 children exercised with another group of elderly. Initially, they were caught by suprised when one of the staff requested for them to sing for the elderly. Nevertheless, they got to sing some songs with the help from their teachers. Afterwards, they got to exercise with the elderly.
The elderly enjoyed the interaction that they had with the children. While the children were exhausted from the repetitive workout, they looked forward to meeting the elderly again! 💜💛💚💙❤💜💛💚💙❤💜💛💚💙💜💛💚💙❤💜💛💚💙❤💜💛💚💙❤💜💛 Yo! Check out the other Phases of our SSDB 2017 Project!
