The K2 children went on this special trip to the zoo together with a group of seniors from Xin Yuan Community Care Centre. Each senior was paired up with two children to encourage interaction and bonding. It was heartening to see our younger ones and their senior partners spending quality time as they chatted and looked after one another throughout the excursion. Although it was tiring for the elderly to walk the entire morning with our energetic youngsters, they shared that they had an enjoyable time with the kids. In addition, everyone had lots of exercise as well!
The children learned to communicate well with the elders and showed care and respect by listening to the grannies and grandpas who warmed up to them very fast and shared stories and advice with them.
We are thankful for this excellent opportunity for our AceKidz children to learn to care for the community even as they embark on their learning journey at the Zoo.
