Touching lives with little hands

Last 18th April 2018, Wednesday morning, children got ready for the launch for our SSDB project. Children were very excited to wear their orange hat and showcase their amazing talent to the elderlies of Pacific Activity Centre. The Nursery children welcomed the elderlies with polite greetings, hugs and kisses.

To start the launch party, our Deputy Centre Lead gave an introduction about our SSDB project. She also highlighted our objective for the project which is to educate children to be considerate and kind neighbors, show appreciation and affections to the elderly and grandparents, to inculcate a sense of responsibility in the children to take care of their grandparents, to establish a platform for the children to be creative to make a token of appreciation for the elderly, and to instill the spirit of good values within the children.

The children started the launch party with their song and dance performance in the tune of “My First Skool”. Then, they showed their appreciation to the elderlies through singing a chinese song. Furthermore, the elderlies from Pacific Activity Centre also showed their talent to the children through a song and dance performance too.

To embark and to have a remembrance for our launch party, the children and the elderlies created a big heart poster with their colorful hand prints. This big heart poster would commemorate the relationship that the children have built with them.

Before thw children left teh Pacific Activity Centre, the elderlies had shown their gratefulness to the children through giving them some goodie bags. Both elderlies and children were very excited to the next activity they would do together.
