As much as we dont want to be exclusive to only one purpose of helping,thus our name HELP SQUAD, focusing on environmental awareness has made this whole journey of giving back more meaningful. A good start for the children to embark on a vast array of opportunities to make a difference in the community.
We learnt that it is just high time to create the awareness of the attitudes we should have towards the world we live in. To be more caring and respectful to each life around us. To be aware of the pressing issues on environment like Climate Change and exert effort in their own little ways to help fight it.
The children learnt that they dont want a sick earth and they must do something to keep it healthy or be part of the domino-effect in the future if this kind of environmental issues will not be resolved.
We still have lots in mind how to take our environmental awareness to the next level and show how we care. For now,we were just glad to make our first move.
It has been a wonderful journey for the children to participate in SSDB 2018. Helping became a conscious effort for all of us to be involved in many ways,in any kinds of situation possible. The children knew that even the moment they smile to others,they were already helping. It was always a priceless moment when a child took pride in helping not because of rewards or anything in return but because they find the joy in doing it. We cannot really gauge nor we can understimate the children’s understanding on Helping. But, we do know that they understood that it should begin within themselves, at their very own person. An understanding that will propel the purpose of helping others or the community.
Let us make life easier for one another. Help as much as you can.
We can only hope we make it normal as breathing.
