Preparations for the Upside down Garden art exhibition cum charity drive take place a few weeks before the exhibition. All staff and children in the centre are involved in the preparation of the exhibition. Children, teacher and even the centre principal went around the neighbourhood to look for twigs and branches that has fallen off trees to create the garden. Teachers and children of the various classes in the centre then planned on what type of art and craft they would do for the art exhibition based on the theme of garden and using recycled materials.
The project room is then decorated with the branches, leaves as well as artwork from the children even as young as infants for the exhibition. K1 children did a gigantic dragonfly as a main focus for the exhibition using recycled materials.Circulars are given to parents to invite them to the exhibition where Milo packets will be collected and the proceeds will be donated to a nursing home which the children will be visiting at a later date.
