The children were introduced to the concept of showing kindness and appreciating others. A book, ’The Doorbell Rang’ by Pat Huchins, was read to the children to introduce the concept of sharing. The children were showed on the ingredients and taught on making Cornflake cookies.
They took turns to help to scoop the flour and sugar, crunch the cornflakes and mould them into balls and add to the baking pan.
When the baking was done, the K2 children shared the cookies with the K1 children and they ate the cookies happily together (though each child got only one😃!)
The cookies were also distributed to the teachers and some were saved for Kindness Day!
The children also made cards to appreciate service staff in school including Principal, cleaners, cook, admin staff and also for the teachers.
