At the Tampines Dialysis Centre the children and parent volunteers were all ready to prepare the egg salad.
The children were excited in peeling the hard boiled egg shells. After which they sliced the hard boiled eggs into thin slices using egg slicers. Then the children sort out the food items accordingly –carrots, cucumber and finally put the egg slicers on top of the vegetables into plastic containers.
The children gave each patient a container with egg salad and a painted colourful stick butterfly. They then performed an evergreen Malay song “Di Tanjong Katong” to the patients and they gave the children rousing applauses.
It is indeed with the spirit of Start Small Dream Big that we endeavour to do something to serve the chronically ill patients.
