All the Kinder One children left the kindergarten for Tampines Dialysis Centre (TDC) at 8.30am for the first session and 12pm for the second session.
They were divided into two groups-red and green/blue and yellow. One group toured around the centre where the patients were seated for dialysis and the pantry. The other group visited the nurses room in another room.
Nurse Lucy Thomas demonstrated the usage of the different equipment/tools eg. stethoscope, weighing machine, ECG, blood pressure monitor etc. The children had fun playing using the stethoscope listening to their friend’s heartbeats.
The children gathered back at the void deck. While waiting for the coach to fetch them back to the kindergarten, the children coloured the worksheets prepared by Ms Priscilla Lim, Medical Social Worker. Ms Ruth Tan, Manageress of Social Service, gave the children London Choco Rolls as a sign of appreciation.
