Caring for the World Around Us

It is never too early to start educating young children about the importance of keeping our planet Earth clean and learning how to reduce, reuse and recycle. Our Superhero theme for our Earth Day celebration aimed to convey the message that preschoolers can also help to make a difference, no matter how young they are. Parents, teachers and children put on their creative thinking hats and created their very own Superhero costumes that were made out of recycled materials for the celebration.

The children enjoyed themselves as they went around the preschool with their parents and friends playing at different game stations such as, the _Gunny Sack Race, Bowling, Airplane Race, Toss the Rings, Save the Caps and Tic-Tac-Toe, which were made out from various recycled materials.

The children also created their own terrarium (a self-sustainable ecosystem) using recycled plastic bottles and engaged in story-telling and sing-along sessions that promoted an awareness that Earth Day is EVERYDAY. - Earth Day Committee
