For the second week of All About Cassowaries, the children got a chance to know more about this fascinating creature. It was a deeper encounter for the children to know the Cassowary even more.
They learned about the different parts (Casque, blue faced, skin colour, colour and texture of its feathers, wattles, and feet) and generic characteristics of a Cassowary (territorial, females are taller and heavier than males, 2nd heaviest bird, 3rd tallest bird, lives for 30-40 years, runs fast, defends itself by kicking, eats fruits Whole, known as rainforest gardener).
The children were then asked to draw a Cassowary as a follow up activity.
